One Cup Coffee Makers from American Vending and Coffee Service

If you are a coffee drinker, chances are you have heard of “one cup” coffee makers or “k cups.” One cup coffee machines are a convenient way to make coffee for a single person or a few people without making a large pot with several servings. It also allows each coffee drinker to select his or her favorite flavor of coffee, tea, or hot chocolate. K-cups from Keurig are not the only option for single-serve coffee machines. Here are some examples of one cup coffee makers:

Keurig K-Cup Machine

Keurig coffee machines are the most popular among single-serve beverage machines. To brew beverages, Keurig machines utilize a K-Cup, a plastic container with a filter inside which is packed with ground coffee beans, cocoa, or tea leaves. The K-Cup is sealed air-tight with a plastic and foil lid, which is punctured when placed inside the machine before brewing. The bottom of the K-Cup is also punctured and hot water is forced under pressure through the K-Cup and into a container placed below the spout.

Tassimo T-Disc Machine

Tassimo T-Disc machines brew more unique beverages due to their custom brew settings. Unlike the Keurig machine that has only one brew setting, the Tassimo T-Disc machines have settings for water temperature, amount of water, brew time, and strength. These custom settings allow the machine to brew a larger variety of drinks, such as coffee, cappuccino, espresso, tea, and hot chocolate. The best part about the T-Discs is that they have barcodes printed on each, which the brewer reads and then automatically adjusts brew settings accordingly. As an added bonus, Professional T-Discs are NOT compatible with Tassimo home systems, preventing product loss at the office.

Pod Machines

Multiple manufacturers make Pod machines, which gives coffee drinkers more flexibility in the types of machines that can be used. Like the K-Cups and T-Discs, Pods contain ground coffee or tea in a disposable package; however, Pod’s container is made from paper, as opposed to plastic, which makes it biodegradable and better for the environment. Wolfgang Puck, a premier coffee brand, offers a variety of coffee for the Pod. Wolfgang’s coffee cherries, selected from the top 5% of the world’s production, ripen slowly to allow their unique flavors and aromas to fully develop. They are then blended and roasted according to Wolfgang’s personal recipe. Despite multiple manufacturers for Pods and Pod Machines, beverage selections are limited to just coffee and tea.

All three machine types have their benefits and drawbacks, so find the machine that is right for you. If you would like single-serve beverages for your medium to large size company, visit American Vending & Coffee Service to see their wide selection of machines.
